Hello again and Happy New Year 2011!

Yet again it’s been a long time! At Miss Budd we’ve had a really busy year making lots of Miss Budd goodies but unfortunately that doesn’t leave much time to keep this blog up to date. But it’s New Year and I hoping to keep at least one of my resolutions!-(Also I’ve just realised that I’ve edited an old post rather than posting a new one so just to confirm this is a post for 2011-sorry for the confusion!)

So first our new designs….. I’ve been very busy sourcing inspiration (that’s when I am not chained to my leather machine or up to my ears in ink)  and this season we’ll be placing Hummingbirds, Honeybee’s and Boats onto our collection.

This season we will also be launching our Oilcloth range, as well as some brand new designs we’ve also raided our archive and polished up a few favourites. Here’s a sneak preview…

We will also be adding some website only offers up soon on the Offers page, so keep em peeled

News and Shows!

Next Month February we will be showcasing our latest collection at Pure Olympia. Our stand number is J155. And we will be upstairs in the Accessories section. This is a trade only event and all trade visitors can enter free of charge as long as they pre-register before. To register go to www.purelondon.com

But  until then we will be really busy putting the finishing touches to our new range. Just going to start printing my Honeysuckle today so I’d better go! 

In June we will be at Pulse at Earls Court stand number LP49. Again this is a trade only event and you can pre-register at www.pulse-london.com

At present we have no plans for shows that are open to the public in the near future….but I promise I’ll get my offers page up and running soon so I can have a mini show on the internet. It helps that I’ve just got my head around how to work my blog program (it takes me a while!)

Welcome to the world of Miss Budd

I’m Danielle,
I started Miss Budd after I graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1999,well actually I worked in a pub for a while then I started properly in 2000.
With a little help from the Crafts council and the Prince’s Trust I set up a small business and found some premises.By the end of 2000 I’d had a few small orders and one rather big one from Paul Smith,I was on my way.

Over the next few weeks and months I’ll be giving you an insight into the workings of Miss Budd,i’ll be letting you into our archives and giving you sneak previews of our upcoming collections.Also keep an eye out for some special offers, there’ll be some slight seconds,some samples and some very nice limited editions in small limited runs of 10 to 15 pieces

For the last few years I’ve been working with my partner Damon,I do all the design stuff and he does the manufacturing.All our products are designed and manufactured here in the UK. We have two small studios, one where we store all our materials and design and one where we print that we share with wallpaper designer Tracey Kendall. So when she’s not printing wallpaper you can guarantee we’ll be printing purses.

Hello again,

Its been a few weeks since my last post,but i’ve been quite busy ,blogging can be quite hard if your a bit of a technophobe like me.Still I have managed to work out how to add links,so you can see some of my favourite designer’s and artists(mates) and I’ve even started a new page where you can pick up a bargain.

We’ve been quite good and taken lots of nice pictures, i’ll post these up soon and you can get a good idea of how it all works here.As i said we’ve been busy busy busy making up lots of samples for our upcoming shows.If your in retail you can come and catch us at Pulse 2008 which is on 1-3June at Earls court
